Obituary

James E. Carr, 53 of Walker died Oct. 14, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1951, in Gassaway, W.Va., the son of Carol Lemon Carr of Elyria, Ohio, and the late John B. Carr. He was employed by the Wood County School system for 30 years as a school bus transporter. He was a fire fighter, lifetime fire instructor and a 27-year member of the Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department. He had been an EMT for 24 years and a lifetime member of the NRA.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi Carr; his mother, Carol Carr; two sons, Jake Carr and Ryan Carr of Walker; two daughters, Ginny and Julie Carr of Walker; a grandson, Zachary Reisinger; and two sisters, Connie Carr of Lorain, Ohio, and Dixie Carr-Heyn of San Antonio, Texas.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Carr.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Jesse Keenan officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
